Jeff Sneed our Vintner extraordinaire, hails from California, where wine making and grape growing became a 30 year obsession. Desirous of a more meaningful life, he purchased the 40 acre estate in East Texas and began planting vines, and buying grapes for the first vintages. December 4th 2009 marks the ninth anniversary of Los Pinos Ranch Vineyards founding.
Chef Dana comes to Los Pinos after her stint as Executive Chef and owner of The Mansion in Kilgore Texas. She has had a life long love affair with fine cuisine, and has traveled the world honing her knowledge. Her skills as a Chef, and creative menus extrapolated from every culture of the globe, are what make the themed events possible at Los Pinos, not to mention the daily Tapas offerings.
Gerald Jones is a partner in the winery and Sales Manager in charge of outside sales and distribution. He is another escapee from the concrete jungle, and developed a love for all things wine during his days as an Executive Producer for a high end film production company in Dallas.
While the demands of an advertising career can be quite stressful, there was opportunity to entertain clients, which paired well with his life long wine research endeavors.
Arnulfo Perez, is Vineyard Manager and all around good guy. He has a long background in horticulture, and other diverse skills that help in every aspect of the grape growing process. You might see him in the barrel room topping barrels or pumping wine in the tank room from time to time as well, and is our crew supervisor.
